How to submit an article?
Contest Guidelines
- All articles will be reviewed and published online within 3 -5 days. The authors will be informed by email.
- The last date for receiving articles is October 28th 2007. Results will be published on November 1st 2007.
- Decisions of the Judges will be final
- The website caters to Indian moms who live outside India. Therefore topics ranging from ‘Pregnancy’, ‘Nutrition’ to ‘Raising Kids’ are encouraged here
- Some topics that we can suggest are Prenatal Diet Chart, Postpartum Recipes, Recipes for Indian kids in the US, How to imbibe culture in Desi kids?, Dressing baby for winter etc. Request you to get creative with the topics. Remember that the audience will be desi moms who want the best of both the worlds, India and the US
- Please title your submission. We may decide to change it while publishing to the website, but at least we'll have something off which we can work
- By submitting material, you acknowledge that you are legally entitled to distribute the work and to allow it to be redistributed
- Every article on publishing, will carry author’s bio. You can include contact information in your Bio , if you wish to be contacted by website visitors

How to submit an article?
- Log-in to the website at http://www.desimoms.org/ or http://www.desimoms.org/user
- Incase you are not yet a member, you can register at http://www.desimoms.org/user/register
- When you are logged in, you will see a list of menu available only to Registered Users listed under your Registered User Name
- To submit an article, click on the link, Create Content
- Click on Book Page
- Give the article a relevant Title.
- 'Teaser' is an excerpt that will appear if your article is selected and chosen to be promoted to front page
- Compose or Copy/Paste the article in the Body’s text area
- If you wish to include keywords for your article, you can do so under the Technorati section
- You can now preview & submit the article
